The Iowa Constitution says "All political power is inherent in the people."  That means we, the people of Iowa, have the power to delegate leadership to whom we choose.  No big news flash, but hold on for a few more minutes. The... more

Hope you and your wife had a fun time in Branson. My dw and I stayed in a small cottage on Indian Point right next to the lake several years ago. There was a floating restuarant right at the end of the road near a boat-ramp. It was mid-summer and near 100 degrees while we were up there. Silver Dollar City was right up the road from us, too. We also went back to Branson a few years ago at New Years and stayed in a hotel. Went on a paddle-wheel ship ride that time. It was really nice, with a dinner-show. We made reservations and ate in the paddle-wheel room. Well, we were right above the paddle-wheel, so I guess that must have been the name of the dining room. LOLs! Lator Gator

Goodseed

A lawn sign that I drive past twice a day on my commute says"We love Jesus." After seeing it many times, I mentally added the "yes we do....." I decided that since I have a website whether I want it or not, I'd just as well "decorate" the place a little bit. This passage came quickly to mind as something which I could "hang on the wall." As I did so, I tried to think of an appropriate title. Since it sounds like a marching cadence call, I just plopped in the title "Onward Christian Soldiers."

My lovely wife and I are vacationing in Branson for an extra long weekend, relaxing and letting God do some restorative work in our lives and marriage. It's fun here and thrilling to experience God's work in our lives. The weather here is also gorgeous. Last night's predicted low was 44 degrees and today is supposed to reach 66. We went without coats all day yesterday. Pretty great experience for February to a couple of Iowan's! To be fair, it is extremely nice up home too. We haven't checked with the kids, but predictions said "Great weekend" before we headed south.

Well, I'm oof to the swimming pool with Mrs. Fowler. Have a great day, my friend!

Hey BP, did you post the Onward Christian Soldiers thread or is that a site somewhere? If it is I would like to check it out.

Hey BP,

What's going on these days. Cold on the bayou with freezes in the mornings and 50s during the days. But, we could get up to the 70s by early next week. Nothin goin on here. I did have my truck serviced this morning. River is falling slowly but I havn't been on it in a few days. Might go squirrel hunting soon. We'll see. Nishpuddy, Archery Charlie and Deerone have been over in my group site posting. Maybe things will pick up here in Multiply. Lator Gator.
